Spring has sprung, the days are getting longer, and the sun is shining brighter. But…and this is a big BUT…we still have stress in our lives and need to find ways to cope. Studies show that yoga has many benefits including stress-relief, flexibility, relaxation, and even a better night’s sleep. We pulled together some great local Yoga options to keep your spring as stress-free as possible.
Union Street Yoga
Here in Worcester, we’re lucky to have a number of amazing yoga studios. Union Street Yoga in the heart of Worcester at 25 Union Street, has two studios with multiple offerings. From Kripalu to Hatha to Flow yoga, you’ll find something for everyone at a time that’s convenient for you. They also offer meditation classes and lots of workshops like the upcoming From Food to Flow: A Yoga and Live Tasting Workshop on Sunday, April 28th at Noon. The best part is the studio is in walking distance from WPI, just over a ½ mile, and within 2 miles of Clark’s campus. Check them out on Facebook and Instagram.
Flow Forms Yoga
Just up the street is another great Yoga studio, Flow Forms Yoga at 100A June Street in Worcester. This studio is within a 2-mile radius of both WPI and Clark and they have a daily schedule of yoga classes as well as private instruction if you prefer to have a one-on-one session focused on your level of ability. You can tour their sunny space on their website and book a class online as well. Follow them on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to see more of what you can expect in a yoga or meditation class.
Hot Power Yoga Center
If hot yoga is more your speed, check out the Hot Power Yoga Center at 1438 Grafton Street. The studio is less than 6 miles from both WPI and Clark and their schedule includes more than 40 hot Vinyasa yoga classes each week. You can drop in for a class, buy a multi-class pass to save a little money, or take advantage of their new student special and receive 2 weeks of unlimited yoga for just $25.
And if you aren’t sure where you want to go on any given day, check out the MindBody app! You can easily search for a yoga class nearby and find classes based on your location, type of class, and what time you’re available to make it as convenient as possible. Click here to check out the app.
We hope your spring is stress-free but if it’s not, try a yoga class. You’ll be amazed by how relaxed you’ll feel as you get back to your studies.
