Get Running – November 10, 2018
The Run4Veterans 5k is a fun race taking place this weekend, which both starts and ends at the Veterans Inc. building located at 69 Grove St. This road race (you can also casually walk it) benefits local veterans and their families and takes place this Saturday at 9:00 a.m. Prizes will be awarded to the first overall male and female; the top male and female in each of the following categories: 14 and under, 15-22, 23-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+; and lastly the oldest veteran finisher. Plus, the first 300 participants to signup will get a free Run4Veterans T-Shirt!

Hear Some Live Music – November 16, 2018
Next weekend check out the community concert series at the new Worcester Popup area which is located right downtown. It is a rotating event that will feature local musicians playing one-hour concerts. The events are free, informal, and will focus on the Worcester and Main South communities. It is sure to be a fun event for all. On Friday, November 16 at 5:30 p.m you can listen to performances by Neighborhood Strings and Revma, a Greek Folk band featuring Rohan Gregory, who is a member of Worcester Chamber Music Society. Fun fact, Revma features traditional Greek instruments such as the lauto, accordion, dumbek, and clarino.

Check out the free “Brown Bag” Lunch concert series at Mechanics Hall. These weekly concerts start on November 14, last for an hour sharp, and run for about five weeks. You are encouraged to bring your lunch or buy one there, though they usually have a limited supply.
Make Some Fresh Pasta – November 28, 2018
Join the chefs from the hot restaurant Volturno for a special, hands-on pasta-making class on Wednesday November 28th . You’ll get to try bites of delicious antipasti and regional Italian wine pairings as you learn the art of handmade pasta-making. Each class (they usually hold one class a month) will focus on a different type of pasta and they provide guests with individual stations to create their very own pasta dish.

Catch a Holiday Classic – Shows Start November 29, 2018
Variety Magazine called the ELF show, “happy enough for families, savvy enough for city kids and plenty smart for adults!” Based on the beloved 2003 holiday film, ELF the Musical is the hilarious tale of Buddy, a young orphan child who mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag of gifts and is transported back to the North Pole. But the whole time he is unaware that he is actually human. Once he starts to suspect something is a bit off about himself, he starts on a journey to find his birth father, discover his true identity, and help New York City remember the true meaning of Christmas. Tickets start at $43 dollars and the Hanover Theater is hosting a few shows over the course of the week.
